Our Home Manager
Emma grew up in Banbury, Oxfordshire, before qualifying in nursing through Oxford Brookes University and Buckinghamshire College of Nursing and Midwifery. She moved to Norfolk in 1996 and now proudly calls Norwich home.
With a background in hands-on nursing, Emma brings a professional, compassionate, and supportive style to her role as Home Manager. She is committed to creating a warm, homely atmosphere where residents feel safe, valued, and truly cared for. Her door is always open for discussion and feedback, ensuring that everyone feels listened to.
Emma works closely with her team, believing in a whole-team approach where every member plays an important role in delivering outstanding care. She is dedicated to driving up quality standards, ensuring that residents’ wellbeing is always at the forefront of everything we do. By encouraging continuous learning and development, she empowers staff to grow in confidence and skills, which directly benefits the residents in their day-to-day lives.
Building on Oakwood House’s achievements in the Norfolk Care Awards, Emma’s focus is on using innovation and teamwork to make care more streamlined and personalised. Her passion lies in ensuring that every resident enjoys not only excellent care, but also meaningful activities and opportunities that enrich their lives.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys reading, spending time with friends, attending Soul Church and taking her son to Carrow Road to support Norwich City.
