A Strong Sense of Community in February
One of the core values at Oakwood House Care is creating a strong sense of community, and February’s care home activities have provided plenty of opportunities for our residents to connect with each other, as well as with their families. Whether it’s through games, crafts, or simply enjoying a shared meal, we prioritise socialisation, which plays a key role in the overall well-being of our residents.
Additionally, we are always looking for new ways to engage our residents with the wider community. For example, the visit from the Japanese students from the University of East Anglia on February 27th is a fantastic opportunity for both our residents and the students to exchange experiences and learn from each other. Such interactions not only enrich the lives of our residents but also help foster a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves.
Promoting Health and Well-Being
At Oakwood House, we understand that keeping residents active, both physically and mentally, is essential to maintaining their overall health and well-being. February’s care home activities have included a balanced mix of creative activities, physical exercises, and social interaction, all of which are important for promoting cognitive function and maintaining physical mobility.
In addition to the activities, we continue to prioritise the health and safety of all residents. Our dedicated team of carers ensures that every activity is delivered with the utmost care and attention, maintaining a safe environment where residents can enjoy themselves and thrive.

As we head into March, we will continue to offer engaging and diverse activities for our residents. From gardening and crafts to pampering sessions and family visits, there’s always something exciting to look forward to at Oakwood House.
